ODSP Adult Diapers & Incontinence Supplies
Complete 2026 Guide for Ontario Residents
If you or someone you care for lives with incontinence and receives ODSP, you may not know that adult diapers and other incontinence supplies can be covered — at no direct cost to you. This is one of the most underused benefits in the entire ODSP program.
This 2026 guide explains everything: what’s covered, how the process works, which products qualify, and how to access an authorized ODSP vendor in Ontario.
Does ODSP Cover Adult Diapers?
Yes — ODSP may cover adult diapers and other incontinence products as a health-related benefit for eligible recipients. This is not part of your monthly income payment. It is a separate medical supply benefit processed through your caseworker and an authorized vendor.
For the full eligibility breakdown, visit our dedicated ODSP incontinence coverage page.
What Incontinence Supplies May Be Covered?
- Adult briefs (tabbed diapers) — for moderate to heavy incontinence
- Pull-up style underwear — for active users with lighter needs
- Underpads / bed pads — for nighttime or furniture protection
- Insert pads — for use inside briefs or underwear
- Booster pads — for added absorbency at night or during extended wear
- Bladder pads — for light urinary leakage
The type and quantity approved will depend on your medical documentation and your caseworker’s review. Coverage amounts are not unlimited, but many recipients receive a meaningful monthly supply.
The 6-Step ODSP Incontinence Supply Process
Here’s how to get your adult diapers and incontinence products covered through ODSP:
- Talk to your caseworker and request the Medical Supply Necessity (MSN) form
- Have your doctor or nurse practitioner complete the MSN form with your diagnosis and supply needs
- Submit the completed MSN form to your caseworker
- Wait for review — your caseworker will assess and may approve the request
- Contact an authorized ODSP vendor once approved (such as Diaper Warehouse, an authorized ODSP vendor)
- Receive your supplies delivered to your home or picked up from the vendor
For a detailed walkthrough of every step, see our How to Apply for ODSP Incontinence Supplies guide and our MSN Form Guide.
What Products Work Best? Choosing the Right Type
Tabbed Briefs (Adult Diapers)
Best for those with moderate to heavy incontinence who may need caregiver assistance. Adjustable tabs make fitting easier and allow for repositioning without removing clothing.
Pull-Up Style Underwear
Great for active individuals who manage their own care. They look and feel more like regular underwear, which many people find more comfortable and dignified.
Underpads and Bed Pads
Essential for overnight protection and keeping bedding clean. Can be used in combination with other products for heavier needs.
Diaper Warehouse: An Authorized ODSP Incontinence Vendor
Diaper Warehouse is an authorized ODSP vendor in Ontario that provides incontinence supplies to ODSP recipients. They are familiar with the ODSP process and can assist with product selection, sizing, and working within your approved coverage.
